Membership

Glenuig Community Association is registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee but not having a Share Capital, incorporated under the Companies Act of 1985, Company Number SC147089. The Association is registered as a Scottish Charity Number SCO20339.

The aims of the Association are:
- to maintain and manage Glenuig Hall
- to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Glenuig and its environs by providing facilities for recreation and leisure time occupations
- to relieve poverty, encourage training and the advancement of education, and the promotion of industry and commerce
Membership of the Association is available in two categories:
Ordinary Membership is open to anyone aged 16 or over normally resident in the mainland area between the Alisary Burn at Lochailort and the River Moidart at Glen Moidart.
Associate Membership is open to any other individual or group who supports the aims of the Association.
LIABILITY OF MEMBERS
Every member of the Company undertakes to contribute such amount as may be required (but not exceeding £1) to the Company's assets if it should be wound up.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Glenuig Community Association is managed by a committee (or "Board of Directors" as a registered company) elected at the Annual General Meeting held in May or June each year.
