DUET DOUBLE BILL featuring Juliette Lemoine & Chris Amer and Rhona MacFarlane & Charlie Grey

JULIETTE LEMOINE & CHRIS AMER are two exceptional and accomplished new voices on the Scottish music scene, Juliette Lemoine (cello) and Chris Amer (tenor guitar) together explore traditional Scottish music with originality, energy and depth. Their live performances are an immersive dialogue characterised by rich emotional colour, close interaction and vibrant spontaneity. Recent highlights include their headline performance at Celtic Connections 2024, performing at London Jazz Festival 2024, and supporting folk supergroup LAU at Kings Place, London 2024.

RHONA MACFARLANE & CHARLIE GREY

Rhona Macfarlane is a rising Scottish singer-songwriter whose emotive voice and evocative storytelling have been described as ‘casting a gentle spell over her audience.’ Macfarlane creates a deeply immersive and emotional soundscape, whether through gentle guitar and intimate vocals or expansive, cinematic arrangements with soaring strings, crafting worlds that feel both vast and personal. Her work has been described as “building an atmosphere of tranquillity and respite”, drawing listeners into a space of reflection and serenity.

Charlie Grey is a fiddle player from the Great Glen. He has performed worldwide and has recorded on 6 studio albums to date. Charlie’s love for the landscape of the Scottish Highlands, culture and its music has shaped his playing style hugely. At 14 Charlie was accepted into the National Centre of Excellence for Traditional Music and has learnt from some of Scotland and Ireland’s most notable fiddle players including Charlie Mckerron, Caoimhín Ó’raghallaigh and Duncan Chisholm.
