A Distant Forest in a Fairytale: Chamber Music of Ligeti & Brahms | Glenuig Hall | 19:00
tickets: £15.00
Great composers have long been heavily influenced by nature over the centuries, and this programme brings together two fairytale pastoral major works from the 19th and 20th centuries. Prize-winning pianist and Ligeti expert, Marianna Abrahamyan, alongside violinist Rachel Spencer and French horn player Anna Douglass perform dazzling works by Ligeti and Clara Schumann; the Maxwell Quartet team up with two of Scotland’s finest string players, Scott Dickinson (viola) and Su-a Lee (cello) for a performance of Brahms’ String Sextet in G major.
